Geir Skeie

Chef and cofounder of Pink Fish

At just 40 years old, Geir Skeie is one of the top figures in Scandinavian gastronomy. He runs two restaurants in Norway and owns the healthy fast-food chain of restaurants Pink Fish whose star ingredient is wild Norwegian salmon

Is there such a thing as healthy, balanced fast food? Norwegian chef Geir Skeie believed there was, and this is how his chain of restaurants Pink Fish was born, with branches in Norway and Singapore where premium certified Norwegian salmon is served in hamburgers, salads or raw.

Pink Fish are fast food restaurants whose menus are made up of healthy dishes based on Norwegian shellfish and salmon. There are several branches in Norway (Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen) but the chain has also taken an international leap with a restaurant in Singapore airport. In the wake of this success, more branches are due to open soon. Pink Fish serves healthy seafood and overall abides by sustainable practices (all the way down to the drinking straws).

Skeie, who won the prestigious Bocuse d’Or Europe in 2008 Bocuse d’Or World in 2009, also run two other restaurants in Sandefjord and Leirvik (Norway).
