Juan M. Elices

Assistant deputy manager of the Aquaculture Subdirectorate

He studied Sea Sciences and has applied his knowledge with public authorities, at the General Fisheries Secretariat at all times.

Juan M. Elices López obtained a degree in Sea Sciences from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1998, and began work with public authorities in 2008 after ten years with a fisheries consultant.

Since his beginnings as a civil servant, he has worked in several posts, all of which at the General Fisheries Secretariat, and among other functions he was involved in fishery inspection, management of structural aids, traceability, labelling and hygiene in fishing products.

Since 2021 he has been Assistant Deputy Manager of the Subdirectorate of Aquaculture, Fishery Marketing and Structural Action attached to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food's General Fisheries Secretariat.
