Fernando G. Brun

Professor of Ecology, University of Cádiz

Fernando G. Brun is Professor of Ecology at the University of Cádiz, and an expert in the ecology of coastal systems, with a particular interest in macroalgae and marine angiosperms.

In over 20 years of experience as a researcher, he has published more than one hundred papers in international scientific periodicals, led multiple research projects, and obtained several national and international awards in certain books he co-authored on the fusion of science and gastronomy.

In recent years he has been collaborating extensively with the world of gastronomy, creating and finding new resources in the marine environment, in a constant search for sustainability and environmental improvement as a means of generating a blue economy and social improvements.
