Rosaura Leis

President of the Scientific Committee of the Atlantic Diet Foundation (Santiago de Compostela, Spain)

Rosaura Leis is Professor of Paediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela. She has a degree in medicine, a specialisation in paediatrics and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Santiago de Compostela.

Her main research interests are infant and childhood obesity, nutrition in the first 1000 days and future health, microbiota, probiotics and prebiotics, and carbohydrate metabolism.

She is a member of several national and international scientific committees and scientific societies. She is President of the Spanish Nutrition Foundation (FEN), of the Spanish Society for Research in Paediatric Nutrition and Nutrition (SEINAP), Vice-President of the Spanish Federation of Societies of Nutrition, Food and Dietetics (FESNAD), President of the Scientific Committee of the Atlantic Diet Foundation-USC and of the Nutrition and Breastfeeding Committee of the Spanish Paediatrics Association (AEP) and member of the Board of Directors of several scientific societies.

She has received several research awards and recognition for her work.
