Guardians of the Sea: The Impact of Marine Reserves on Conservation and Fishing in Tenerife

Marine reserves as a key tool for the recovery of fishing ecosystems in Tenerife.

Through the expertise of Dr. Alberto Brito, Professor of Marine Biology and a leading expert in marine biodiversity in the Canary Islands, the fundamental role of marine reserves in protecting ecosystems and improving the sustainability of fishing in Tenerife will be analyzed. His research career in marine conservation will allow us to understand how these protected areas contribute to species recovery, ecological balance, and the responsible management of marine resources within the Macaronesian context.
