In this talk, Dr Daniel Pauly will cover issues such as overfishing, which is the biggest threat to the maintenance of healthy marine ecosystems, as well as marine plastics, from microplastics to ghost fishing gear, and global change, underlining the notion that none of these problems are difficult to solve through the application of science-based solutions in parallel with a strong political will to promote change.
